Terry’s father has owned the current location of Keas Meats & Deli since 2000; it's a career choice that runs in the family. After owning a butcher shop in Greece for years, Terry’s parents moved to Vancouver in 1981 to start their very first shop on Hastings Street. With years of experience in the industry, Terry now strives to continue his parent’s legacy of providing high quality specialty meats and exceptional service at a reasonable price.
“We focus mainly on fresh meats and having a great deli selection, specializing in Greek meats, cheeses, and oils as well as specialty groceries from other parts of Europe,” says Terry. “The majority of our customer base is from the local area, but we get quite a few customers that come from the Greater Vancouver Area when they’re looking for high quality meat.”
They've sold my wife rotten lamb meat while I was away on a business trip. When my wife sent my daughter to the store to replace it they claimed they were out of lamb meat even though it was discussed over the phone. Why do they treat a long time customer like that? I'm disgusted with them, will never buy there again. I felt so let down b/c I was away and could not do anything. Please PM me for details if interested.
Even though we've lived in this neighbourhood for more than 40 years, I'd never gone to Kea's meat market until a few months ago. After finally finding them, I am so sorry that I've missed out for so many years. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. The meat is fresh and top-quality. I can't say enough about how much I love this meat market.
