good service good food good price
Delicious. Love their wonton soup
Delicious
i always make a pit stop here as it's so cheap and i get full. the lunch buffet is ok, especially for the price, but i love the dinner buffet with the wings, ribs and eggrolls. the rest of the buffet is ok, but i am stuffed on the wings and eggrolls. did i say i love the wings? eggrolls? lol. it's cheap!
I commute a lot and always make a pitstop here. The lunch buffet may be cheaper but has less stuff than the night one. I love the eggrolls, wings and ribs. The rest if normal buffet food, but for the all you can eat value, it's really cheap. I've tried the menu when they were closing so if you arrive close to close, then you may do what i did and just order from the menu to know it's fresh. the menu orders are better for the vegetables, but if i had a choice, i'd do buffet everytime.
cheap and great food for the price. you really can't go wrong for the price! and it was open xmas and new year's eve when everything else was closed.
The food's alright. It won't knock you socks off, but there's a good selection of dishes and it tastes pretty good most of the time. Fairly inexpensive also. The atmosphere should be spruced up and modernized though. Everything looks pretty old and dated. All in all a good chinese restaurant that I'll surely return to again and again.
Honestly, it`s a hit or miss. I've gone there and had an amazing experience just like I`ve gone there and had a horrible experience. I still keep going though.. must be because I`ve had more hits then misses? I must add.. I am a HUGE fan of the wings!
We ordered from the menu rather than just taking the cheap way out with the buffet. All the food was very good. (Hint: Don't order the pu-pu platter as an appetizer for just two people! Way too much food!) Maggie was our waitress and was exceptional - friendly, efficient, and very helpful. Real ceramic tea pot would have been the cap, but the tea was good.
I found everything to be OK. Nothing stood out to me as great. The service was slow and alright. The food was good but not great.
Jack Lee's may not have as many choices as many of the other Chinese buffets in Cornwall but they have the tastiest menu. My spareribs were succulent, with a little soy sauce added, chicken balls topped with cherry sauce was fresh and great tasting. The rice is unmatchable, really wonderful and the broccoli is fresh and comes in large pieces. I loved the dim lighting in this restaurant and thought the food was really fresh considering it was a buffet. After the meal you are given fortune cookies that are also just as fresh. I would definitely take the quality over the quantity of choices in some other Chinese buffets. The only thing that was lacking was the dessert section, the choices were very few.
we went around 6pm and it was packed but it's so big that seating was not an issue. the food was hot, and a wide selection of most of the things my husband and kids like to eat. kids eat half off which was great. i didn't experience the other issues i've read here but they say that they close at 8pm so i am assuming it was near close when they went. all in all, it was central, convenient especially with kids, cheap, and the food was hot, tasted great and wide selection to choose from. i expected worse but it is worth a try for sure.
Food was hard and we found hair in two different dishes. Disgusting.
Do not eat here. We went here because it was centrally located. But when we got there, there was only 1 other family there, who seemed to be relaxing and not eating. No wonder, the food was all old and crusty. The rice was hardened over from sitting under the lights for a long time. The chicken balls were hard and chewy, not crispy, but stale tasting. Then when someone complained that the food wasn't fresh, she kicked him out. And make him pay for his (1) chicken wing and made him leave. Then the owner continued to complained to anyone she could find, including us. She made a total scene and made my party uncomfortable. It was embarrassing to say the least. Our waitress was polite enough but a little pushy, before we could finish gnawing on our first chicken ball she gave us the check and shut off the lights to the rest of the building. Pretty much kicking us out too!
very well worth going there again and again and again.... :D
Great food for the price! Best WonTon soup! Yummmm!!! :)
