your chicken wings have shrunk!!!!5 in a cup....really not worth the advertisement......pigeon wings.....nothing more...
My family and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was quick. Our server was present and friendly. The food was hot and very tasty (their roast beef on a Kaiser was amazing!!). I would recommend this restaurant
Chicken didn't taste much, DO NOT order cheeze pyrogies, my wife took one bite just tongive you an idea and on top of this service was aweful, not even a glass of water given...
We were the only people waiting and were ignored by several waitresses before asking if we had been helped, the menu is not what was expected. The service was slow and not as friendly as it used to be. It is safe to say it was a disappointing lunch, and I will not be returning.
I came to Swiss Chalet tonight (kingston - dalton ave.) expecting the restaurant I remembered as being delicious w a nice atmosphere. Upon arriving, no one greeted us, even though there were a number of girls in uniform hanging out along the bar. When we finally had some service, she seemed annoyed. We ordered a starter of the garlic loaf - 1st issue: ice cold with congealed garlic sauce due to not being warm. Then waited for our food. - 2nd: The bar was located across from our table so we had the pleasure of hearing 5 serving women argue over who gets what table etc. then gripe about their personal lives. Yeesh! - 3rd: When the food finally came out the fries were not even cooked completely and the chicken was dry and lacking in any flavor on the quarter chicken meal Our second meal was a chicken stirfry which had more sauce than actual ingredients. - 4th: Our waitress was completely absent, only rushing by and asking the question without even listening for a response. When bringing dishes, our waitress would slap down the plates in a drop like fashion. Overall I have to say this is not the Swiss chalet I remembered I'm not even sure I would like to go back. Out $40, for a sub-par dinner out. Such a disappointment for an old favorite restaurant.
when i got there, there was no one behind me but still took about 5 minutes to get seated, my menu was missing a page that i saw someone else have, really bad music was playing. But now about the food, the meal took about 15 minutes to come out, and the ribs were pretty good, they fell right off the bone, which was nice. The fries weren't any better than fries I usually eat at fast food places and the coleslaw was terrible. Their world famous swiss chalet sauce doesn't taste any different from normal gravy. Not that bad, but there are a lot of other places I would rather eat
I went to Swiss Chalet hoping it would live up to it's expectations since it is such a well-known name, but my experience was probably the worst experience i've ever had at a restaurant. We walked in and a server didn't come to greet us; there were two of them chatting away sitting at a table and they didn't even acknowledge us, though we knew that they saw us. Finally another waitress came and sat us down. When she took our orders, my little sister got a kids meal which came with a drink of her choice from a list, and she didn't even ask us what she wanted, and simply gave her water. My chicken sandwich was actually really gross. The gravy was too salty and there were barely any fries on my plate. The bread is literally soaked in gravy, and I remember taking one bite and almost wanting to throw up. The vegetables on the side tasted really nasty; not what "fresh" vegetables should taste like. The server later came back and we had to ask to get my little sisters dessert (which came with the meal) and she only gave me two options, when there was clearly three: a package of m&m's, skittles, or an ice cream sundae. She wanted the sundae and when I asked for the dessert, she only gave me the option of the package of candy. I had to clarify again and ask for the sundae, in which she finally asked what kind. When we received our bill, there was another server who stood behind our booth, which had a small divider, watch us as we put our money into the envelope, and as we got up to leave, she quickly came over to our table and counted the money. I was extremely insulted. I went to swiss chalet hoping the bad reviews were just customers who caught them on a bad day, but this is honestly the worst experience i've ever had. I DO NOT recommend this place at all. (at least the one on Dalton.. I hear the other one up by the old wal-mart is pretty good)
The chicken was raw, it was literally still red under the skin. The person who served me appeared to have much better things to do and seemed disgusted to have to take my order. Very very disappointed.
i began with the lobster bisque, but instead was given chicken noodle soup. suffice to say, it was just not the same. i then waited eargerly for my surf & turf, but again was served a plater of chicken sauteed in dissapointment. on the whole, the evening was quite meadicore, for such a highly reknowned restuarant i didn't understand why items i saw on the menu all resulted in chickens. for all the short comings, the atmosphere was splendid, reminiscent of a funneral home.
Very large portions of food Friendly, moderatly fast service Well priced
This place is disgusting. I never understood how anyone could enjoy the food from this place. The food has absolutely no flavour and it's so greasy...barf barf barf!
