Excellent service and affordably priced great food
Service provided by Sarah was fantastic. Good, hot and fast breakfast. Will go back and the place was packed so others agree.
Wings are delicious, pending on the day you go, their different sizes. Bartender is very outspoken.
We went here for a quick meal before an appointment and the service was very brisk. Since we wanted to have room for dessert, we checked out the seniors' page and ordered 1 fish&chips and one Liver and onions. The seniors section is mostly that sort of 'Canadian' cuisine but the main menu presents an eclectic selection including Mexican and Italian , Our dishes were well presented and were not much smaller than a regular serving. The fish was excellent, the liver very good. The dessert – coconut creme pie and lemon meringue pie were bountiful.
Always seated quickly and can usually snag a booth seat if your party is small. The seats are wooden but comfortable. The food is mostly deep-fried goodies, but there is a good selection of steaks, wraps, and pastas as well. The salads are good, but the side salads are so-so. The mainly meat platter is really tasty and gives you a nice selection. Good for an appetizer if you have 4 or more people, or a meal in itself for one person. Don't order the pork tenderloin-it's not the traditional deep-fried breaded stuff but just the actual meat bare-bones meat. Breakfast is good but they recently raised the prices to almost $10 for the basic breakfast. I like the homefries and the bacon was cooked perfectly. Older people should be careful as a lady fall down the ledge that seperates the two floors. Hope she's OK, the waitress didn't seem to worried about it. Service is pretty good depending who you get. The male waiter (owner?) is somewhat crusty and annoying. It's always disappointing when he takes our order. I like the atmosphere. There's a bar on the west side and a dining room on the east side of the building. Everything is clean. I'll keep coming back here, it's a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal.
Whenever I go to Pembroke..Finnegan's is a must stop. Staff very freindly / food is great / bar atmoshere very freindly. Strongly recommend you visit this restauarant whilst in Pembroke
We have often been here on a busy lunch time and were always served quickly with good food. If you can get a table by the north window, you have a pleasant view of the Ottawa river too. We went for breakfast this time after an early hospital visit, and got our window seat as there was only one other couple there. We ordered a breakfast special each and the waited and waited. The server came back several times to apologise and gave us the Lunch menu to read. After over 30 minutes looking at the river, we finally got our specials. Coming back again, the server asked how it was and I told her that the sausage was ok, but the scrambled eggs were cold and the home fries seemed like yesterday's ordinary fries cut into cubes. She sympathised with us and charged us at only the employees rate for the meals,
