We walked out. We waited for a long time to be seated. Then kept waiting to have our order taken. Only one waitress on and she took an order from two guys who sat down after us. The restaurant was too warm. Hardly any air conditioning. Went down Lansdowne to the Carousel and had a lovely brunch for the price of a breakfast at Rickys.
I've never had anything but great service and great food.
Overall, worst experience. Over priced pub food, that's soggy and undercooked. The staff were rude, to say the least, they made it uncomfortable for me and my family as I could hear them trash talking other customers. There's way better food and service at plenty of other places in Peterborough, don't waste your time or money.
Food took forever, portions were tiny and food did not taste good. Got the "famous chicken and waffles", McDonald's chicken nuggets are bigger than the sad chicken strips they served me
I've been here a few times now, and really enjoy the not overwhelmingly busy or noisy atmosphere. The food has always been good, but not great. My favourite item was the turkey clubhouse on sourdough bread by far. I like going here because of the atmosphere, but yes, there are better quality meals elsewhere. Sort of like one step above 'diner' food.
Just wanted to echo what the reviewer below said. its your typical out of the box food....which should be an big indication of what you can expect as I had eggs for breakfast :s It wasn't fresh but it was expensive. Not a great trade off.
Typical bad landsdowne street chain food. Cheap, bland, generic and depressingly busy. Please, find a better place to go. There are so many better restaurants in peterborough in the same price range.
We came to Ricky's because we know it's not busy on a friday night. We were right. Regardless, our server was nice, kept our drinks full. Food was fast. Our only main complaint about the food was that when my husband ordered his sandwhich (philly) it said cheddar cheese, it came with a processed cheese slice. Not appealing. Seems pretty low quality for a larger restaurant. Paid $13 for a philly with processed cheese on it. We'll return. Much better place at breakfast thought.
The food wasnt bad but nothing remarkable. The service was friendly and attentive though. The only thing that really killed it for me was, I was sat in this is room with no windows that was really dark and boring I felt like I was in a cave or something just bad architectural design in that part of the restaurant besides that it was ok I guess
I would like to thank everyone at Ricky's especially Mark for the great service and food. There was over 40 of us and half were under the age of 8. The service was fast and the food was good. Mark and the other waiters that helped were friendly and more importantly patient. I would definitely recommend Ricky's to anyone that has a large party and looking for great service and good food. Get the private room it holds 36 people. Thank you again, Colin Oshawa Kicks 2001
Family Day with my Family. We gather every family day, there are 19 of us from 2 months to 65 years. I won't list the food ordered there isn't enough space. We reserved over a month ago for a private room for noon, It was ready and perfect, Cindy the owner looked after the music volume (lowered) and made sure we had enough booster seats etc. Crystal looked after our orders and did a fantastic job, I would have thought they would put 2-3 servers on but I guess Cindy knew how excellent & capable Crystal was. If you want to dine out wether your party is 2 or 20 you won't go wrong here
what a great experience! 4 couples and their hockey sons ate at Ricky's twice over a 3 day period, food was fantastic and service was at the top of their game! This is a kid friendly spot as well, this is a winning restaurant!!
I should get frequent diner miles. Out of all the eateries in Peterborough, I seem to keep coming back here. The food is always good the service is great, the atmosphere is OK and the menu is good all day, wether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. We tend to eat around 2 thus saving cooking lunch & dinner & it's great to order what we want.
It had great food! good service! great people! the food wasnt rushed but we didnt have to wait a long time either. the atmosphere was great and welcoming.
Went there for brunch with wife and mother in law - Girls had the waffles I had the steak. Wife said they used to have waffles with apples on them which were promotional and better than these. They should have seniors portion as Nanny could only eat half. My steak was a little tough (cow's fault?)
Absolutly perfect. Wife said Daquari was not as good as she has had at other places. The only complaint I could have was how fast we were served as I like to relax and enjoy my food, It was almost American style, at 3 in the afternoon I don't think they should worry about table turnover
