Founded by Nerissa Carino, The Cupcake Place combines creativity with sheer passion to make some of the most electrifying baked goods you will ever see.
Winning the award for Toronto’s Manliest Cupcake – the Monday Night Football Baby Booya Cupcake – Nerissa’s challenge was to make a cupcake that paired strong, masculine flavours. Her response was to combine chocolate Guinness, cream cheese frosting, and chocolate caramel sauce with crushed pretzels and bacon bits. This ingenious creation won The Cupcake Place the award.
“We’ve made quite a few unique and interesting cakes and cupcakes,” says Nerissa. “I love when someone comes in with a very unique request – it’s such a fun challenge.”
