“You’re selling fun,” says Brad Campkin, Past President and Marketing Manager at Campkin’s RV Centre. “You’re not selling something people need, you’re selling something they want.” He makes this distinction because a recreational vehicle (RV), unlike a car or truck, isn’t something you’d typically use for your work commute. Instead, it represents a gateway into travel, leisure and experiences. Owning an RV is something that allows you to see the world and build memories with your loved ones, whether it’s cruising down the 401 or travelling north into Algonquin Park.
Brad loves what Campkin’s represents for its customers, how it can help to make their dreams come true. "You know, they want to go camping with their family, they retire and they’re waiting their whole life to (go on an RV trip) – so you’re a part of that positive, fun experience.”
His father, Laurie Campkin, started the company in 1973 and then changed its name to Campkin’s in 1977. Brad knew that a big part of what his father loved about the RV business was the opportunity to bring fun into his customers' lives. Unfortunately, Brad’s father passed away in 1991, but not without first building a legacy focused on adventure.

We wish to retract our previous statement as Campkin's has provided us with a satisfactory resolution
Horrible customer service. We bought a smaller trailer 3 months ago and have had nothing but problems and they have showed no enthusiasm in helping us. When we purchased the trailer we took it on a trip and it ended up leaking so badly the whole inside was ruined. Water ruined most of the inside and 3 months later Campkins has not done anything to help us fix this. After calling and calling we can not get responses on when it can be fixed. We bought the trailer to use and haven't been able to.
Horrible experience. We were so excited to get our new trailer, and every single time we called from sales, to financing to service the experience only got worse. We took our business elsewhere where our business will be appreciated!
