Customers at Mint Floral Co in Whitby tell owner Laurel Munro that they feel like they’re walking into a little piece of downtown’s hip Queen Street when they walk into her store. “We just have that vibe,” says Laurel.
“They know they’ll find something different with us. People are always telling me that they have never seen a flower we stock before or a style of arrangement we do. When you get a bouquet from us, you can tell that some thought has gone into it.”
Having said that, Laurel’s clientele is wide-ranging, with customers of all ages, backgrounds and floral needs coming from the surrounding areas and the GTA for a unique anniversary bouquet or wedding arrangements. “I like to think outside the box and to experiment with new flowers as well as work on more traditional designs,” she says.
