When Nathaniel Schuler was a teenager, a wild rosebush captured his heart. The encounter burst into a career and passion for gardening. Nat rouses people’s interest in plants with the enthusiasm of an English garden in bloom. “You have to transpire the vibes,” says Nat, founder/owner of Babylone Hydro-Organique a full-service urban agriculture store since 1999. “Plants are very generous. If you treat them well, they will give you energy you can taste.”

If you have any questions about plants, Nat generously shares his knowledge and advice. Babylone Hydro-Organique’s mission is to feed people and feed the earth, as well as savour the fruits of synchronicity. Babylone Hydro-Organique is renown for the auto-irrigation systems Nat has been developing for over 15 years. And he stocks all natural and organic gardening products — the only ones of their kind in Montreal.

Babylone Hydro-Organique is the exclusive supplier for many of the high-quality products it carries. Some are one-time collector’s pieces like auto-irrigation pots incubated in a local university program. People can equip themselves with fertilizers, artisanal seeds and lights, as well as a variety of plant containers like Smart Pots and hanging growing pouches.
