LOve eating here. Great Prime Rib. Old School Steak House. Be careful huge portions try not to eat too much before the main course.
Going, going , gone. Yes this one time great steak house is dead. The building is old, tired, and dirty. The waiters are old school, somewhat rude and really do not listen to your needs or requests. The good old pickles are now cheap nasty pickles. The salad all lettuce comes with bitter dressings that taste like it has gone bad and for anyone that knows quality, aged beef, what you now get is low end, tough beef. And yes I am talking from years of experience at Zorro’s and other steak houses. The last few years have really done this place in. if you know good food, stay away..
I love Zorros. The food is always great, steaks cooked to perfection, the staff is very attentive, your glass is never sitting empty and the washrooms are very clean. Great place for a business lunch or special occasion. Well worth it!
Great steak, nice place to eat, i wouldn't call this place "high end" though, the steak was cooked great, medium well, just the way i like it. I recommend
My Wife decided to take me to Zorro’s for my birthday after hearing all the great reviews from many online sources. When we got there we waited 5 minutes until someone came to show us to our table, the waiter making the salad in the middle of the dining room (very odd) looked at us and didn’t even bother getting the host to come to the front to show us to our table. Moving on, when we were seated we noticed a particularly older crowd. I ordered a beer and my wife a wine while we looked through the menu (they have a good selection of wine but beer on tap). With our drinks the waiter (who was cold as ice) brought out a silver platter with olives, butter and pickles. Olives were great, pickles were old and butter was frozen. They also brought out some warm garlic bread, it was very good. For an appetizer my wife ordered a cesar salad and I ordered escargot. Her salad was very good but my escargot had almost a musty taste, much too oily and much too salty, nothing at all like the fresh and nicely seasoned escargot I am used to at true high end restaurants. For our entree I ordered Surf and turf and my wife ordered the seafood linguini ($30) substituting the seafood with chicken. It took an unusually long time to get our food and the restaurant was not particularly busy, I asked for a potato instead of rice for my side but they messed that up also (later they corrected the mistake and brought me my potato) My lobster tail WAS NOT FRESH AT ALL, it was over cooked and I only took a bite and discarded the rest. My steak was a 7 ounce strip loin which looked great but was cold and chewy. I mean it was a $60 plate and it was inedible. I had a little bit of my steak then did my best to fill up on bread. My wife’s meal was no better, her pasta was full of chicken, chicken had no flavour and the sauce tasted like it came out of a can, chef Boyardee would of been better. As you can imagine we skipped desert.

The restaurants patrons had no class, people were cursing whirl telling jokes one guy (American) was groping his women and talking at an elevated level. All in all this was absolutely THE WORST RESTAURANT we have ever been too, before you go here explore some other options, don’t exclude fast food chains you’re bound to have a much more enjoyable experience.
This meal was excellent. The regular cut prime rib was delicious and generous in portion. We both took some home, I could not imagine eating the Zorro's cut. We had average clam chowder to start and salad was good. New waiter to start but as he had trouble answering our questions he was quickly replaced. Service was excellent. Now, for the entertainment! A couple of,....ladies were having dinner when we arrived. As the evening went on their conversation got louder, mainly the attractive middle aged blond, may have had some fashion experience when younger. Anyway her language got smutty and she was bold. Her companion was very quiet and didn't get much in herself. The staff looked a bit embarrassed but I think she was a regular. The staff showed the rest of us their concern but we all took it with a bit of fascination.
Old school restaurant, insanely good food!
My family and I were there on Father's Day. We had heard so many wonderful things about Zorros, and all of these opinions were confirmed. The service, the food and the atmosphere were spectacular. It is a family run business so that alone makes the place more inviting. The host and hostess were very friendly and courteous, as were our waiters. The food, which consisted of salad, unlimited garlic bread, steak and shrimp were fantastic, just melted in our mouths. The waiter suggested a wine for us, which was a great choice. This was well worth the money. I have already suggested this restaurant to all of our family and friends. Believe me, you need to visit!
This restaurant is vastly overpriced. All three of our green salads were simply swimming in dressing. I couldn't even finish mine. When I told our waiter about this, he simply told me that I should have specified that I wanted less dressing. I'm sorry, I didn't expect THAT much! The filet mignon was delicious, but the other 2 meals were simply adequate, and not nearly worth what we paid for them. The scallops and ribs were both overdone, as were the vegetables. Service was really lacking, and not what I expected. It always felt like we were imposing on the waitstaff whenever we asked for something. I will not visit again.
My husband and I have been to Zorros many many times...We started going about 20 plus years ago for our anniversary and have been for every occaison since with friends and alone..The staff..let me tell you...if they were bad that is one thing I expect...great service and they have never failed.. They are exceptional...and once you have been there a few times they remember your names and make you very welcome..if its been real busy and they cant seat you at the EXACT time your resevation is the owner gets your drink (free) and and sits you down at a table in another room...although usually you are seated right away... The food...never have I ever in all those years had a bad meal from start to finish and the reason they have the same menu is why change what works!! and that goes for the staff as well..the are truly perfessionals 100%... The only thing is when reading the menu at times its a litte hard since the lighting is low... But that is in most dining places it seems...candle lit...very romantic ...
This had to be one of the most pleasant experiences my girlfriend and I had. The service and the food were excellent. The staff was very pleasant and courteous, the food was delicious and the ambiance was beautiful. We go out a lot and we heard about this restaurant through a colleague of mine. He raved about Zorros and now I understand what he meant. One person said that the waiters were like, in his words, "zombies", he/she could not be more wrong. Big deal they don't take debit, any fine establishment offers many options to their patrons, as does Zorros. For an establishment to be around so many years, they must be doing something right. I recommend this place to anyone, especially to someone who wants to impress, have a good time, and enjoy the food.
The only other food that might possibly compared to my wonderful meal would be my mama's cooking. Everything was PERFECT. My Striploin was a perfect medium like I asked, and the shrimp just melted in my mouth. Looking forward to doing it again soon!!!!
My wife and I , along with another couple had a wonderful experience at Zorros. A family owned restaurant which pays close attention to details and service. The food was fantastic, actually mouth watering. The wait staff was very attentive and polite. No question about it, we will go back very soon!
Wow!! Words cannot express the experience my party and I had. Fantastic is not a strong enough word. The food, service and ambiance were magnificent. For all of those who say it is not worth it, you do not know what good food is. You want quality and service, then Zorros is the place to be!!
Zorro's is an experience that you can't miss. The service is impeccable, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere makes for a very very enjoyable meal. It's worth every penny. We try to experience many restaurants throughout Brampton, Toronto, and Mississauga. We always come back to Zorro's.
My associates and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was very polite and the food was spectacular. I would go back again and again. A great place for business meetings over dinner. You can even sit in the lounge for drinks!
wonderful, fabulous, wonderful, for anyone wondering the wait area is to the left when you walk in. In response to the previous bad rating they must be doing something right if they have been around for 34 years. Zorros is one of my favorite restaurants around one try and you will keep going back!!!!
Our reservation was at 2:00pm and we did not get seated until 2:45pm. very slow and unprofessional. There was also no waiting area during this time which meant we had to stand for 45 minutes while we waited to be seated. Will not visit again...
I had heard so many wonderful things about this place that I thought the time had come to try!!! The caesar salad dressing is made right in front of you & all meals include unlimited fresh garlic bread & side. The seafood in my pasta was tender and the size of my fist. It was like a fisherman had just brought it straight from the ocean. Everything was simply AMAZING!!!
