Starr Celeste-Falconeri LLP Chartered Professional Accountants is a traditional yet progressive firm primarily servicing small to medium sized businesses and their owners. Our clients are in a wide range of industries, professions and businesses, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts and estates. Our Team

Randall Starr earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo in 1984, and then earned his Chartered Accountant (now Chartered Professional Accountant) designation. After working with a national accounting firm Randall went on to gain experience in smaller accounting firms where he was able to work more closely with owner-operated businesses. Randall has a very diverse client base comprising individuals, corporations, and trusts/estates; these clients are in a variety of businesses, industries, and professions.

Randall has held appointments as Professor of Accounting in the School of Business at Centennial College, and has lectured to many groups in the areas of accounting, auditing, and tax.

Randall believes in giving back to the community and, to that end, has served as President (2014 – 2016), and previously as First Vice-President and Chair of the Board of Governors, of Adath Israel Congregation, a Conservative synagogue with approximately 1,850 member families at that time. After having served as President, Randall chaired a Constitution Committee that brought in a new constitution. In November, 2019, Randall left Adath Israel and joined Beth Emeth Bais Yehudah Congregation, where he currently serves on the Va’ad. Randall also served on the Board of Directors of The Existential Art Gallery of Scarborough. Randall previously served on the Board of Directors of Art Scarborough (later Scarborough Arts Council) including as Treasurer and as President, Mural Routes, United Synagogue Day School/Robbins Hebrew Academy, the Research Ethics Board of St. Michael’s Hospital, and the Quality Committee of the General Surgery Department of University Health Network/Toronto General Hospital. Randall is a Member Emeritus of Scarborough Arts.

Over the years, many clients have become friends and enjoy spending time sharing confidences with Randall who has become their trusted advisor. He also enjoys spending time with his two sons, Lee and Jeff.

Francesca Celeste-Falconeri earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Commerce from the University of Toronto in 1984, and then earned her Chartered Accountant (now Chartered Professional Accountant) designation from the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Ontario. Francesca gained her experience at local accounting firms and has a diverse client base including individuals, corporations, LLP’s and trusts/estates in a variety of industries and businesses.

Francesca is married to Joseph Falconeri, a litigation lawyer and partner at the personal injury firm of Falconeri Rumble Harrison LLP. She and Joseph enjoy spending time with their beautiful German Sheppard dog, Kivinta.

Oleg Gudkov began his tax career with Starr Celeste-Falconeri in 2013 while pursuing his accounting degree. He graduated from York University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Accounting. He obtained his CPA designation in 2021. Oleg is continuously building his client base comprising of individuals and corporations in a variety of industries. For a number of years, Oleg has volunteered in the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP).
Life has taken Oleg from Ukraine, to Israel to finally settling in Aurora, Ontario. Outside of work, Oleg is spends time with his wife and their young daughter, playing and refereeing soccer in Aurora and staying active outdoors.

Jacqueline Veldhuis joined Starr Celeste-Falconeri in 2011 as a bookkeeper and has since added responsibilities as office manager. Jacqueline brings over twenty-five years of bookkeeping experience serving small to mid-sized privately held companies and is proficient in many different software packages, including QuickBooks, where she is a recognized Pro-Advisor. Jacqueline works with many of our corporate clients and has become a trusted advisor to them with her wealth of business experience.

Egor Shmelkov came to Canada from Russia in 2017 to pursue an education at Humber College, where he graduated in 2020 with a degree in Business Administration. Egor’s role continues to evolve at Starr Celeste-Falconeri as his knowledge and experience continue to grow. Egor is a valuable asset to our firm and is greatly admired by our clients, who like to call him George. In his free time, Egor enjoys playing soccer and traveling.

Fanny Tang joined Starr Celeste-Falconeri in 2019 as a bookkeeper responsible for full-cycle accounting, including accounts receivable and payable and year-end closings. Fanny has over twenty-five years of service to small to mid-sized privately held businesses and is proficient in many different software packages, including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Sage.

Cocoa Starr joined the Starr Celeste-Falconeri team in 2011 as mascot and has taken on the role of providing emotional support to those owing large sums of taxes. Cocoa is now semi-retired but does come in to the office when needed.

Bookkeeping
