Hanson's Fishing Outfitters

They say good things come to those who bait. Nobody knows it better than Trevor Hanson, owner of Hanson’s Fishing Outfitters. Located in downtown Calgary, the shop sees customers from around the area, such as professionals from neighbouring corporations.

“We teach people how to relax, get out of the office, go outdoors, and just have fun,” says Trevor. Besides gear for fly fishing, the store also offers a fly fishing boot camp, fishing trips, and guest rooms at their own River House “Trout Hotel” located on the Bow River.

Trevor describes Hanson’s Fishing Outfitters as a fly fishing store plus guiding service. “We have 10 boats, so we take people fishing in the river as well,” he says. In the summer, people come from all over the world, and Trevor or his staff take them to the Bow River to apply some skills and helpful tips.
