“If I received a quarter for every customer who entered the store and said, ‘I just love the aroma in here,’ I’d be a wealthy man,” says Chris Hansen, the proprietor of Burlington-on-Whyte Tobacconist. “Owning this store has been the most fun of my life.”

Chris has owned this Whyte Avenue landmark since April 2002. It’s easy to see that he’s passionate about his business, and especially anything related to pipes and cigars. The only thing he speaks more passionately about is the brother- and sisterhood of pipe and cigar lovers, and the satisfaction he gets from serving this community every day.
