Started in 1989, Sports Connection originally operated out of a small 1200 square foot commercial bay selling used sporting goods that was collected from friends and family. Our business model of providing exceptional, over the top service immediately struck a chord with customers in the Medicine Hat market who had grown tired of the poor service and high prices offered by our competition. As sales continued to increase, we quickly outgrew our existing facility and in 1993, the decision was made to move to our current Kingsway location. 1996 marked the year of an ambitious expansion plan that resulted in the addition of new retail, office and warehouse space. In August of 1998, we officially joined the largest buying group in Canada, Sports Distributors, and began to operate as Sports Connection Source For Sports.
