A mix of old and new — that is how the owner of the The Passionate Home in Langley City describes her home décor store.
Carrie Thachuk opened the ThePassionate Home in 2006, and since then she’s been helping her customers make their homes beautiful. Whether they want a piece of antique furniture, need some new art to brighten up a room or would just appreciate some decorating advice, the staff at the The Passionate Home can lend a hand.
“A lot of people come here just for inspiration — to look for ideas for their homes,” Carrie says.
And that mix of old and new? There is antique furniture — some of it refurbished, some not — home accessories like door and drawer knobs and wall art; but she also carries new clothing and jewellery as well as Barefoot Venus bath products and Pre de Provence soaps from France.
ThePassionate Home also sells Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint™ — one of just a few retail stores in the Lower Mainland authorized to do so — which can be applied to almost any surface — wood, fabric, glass, metal — for a velvety matted look.
