I have been taking my pup to the Port Coquitlam animal hospital for 8 years. The staff are caring and knowledgeable about my dogs health. They provide excellent service and reasonable rates. They give lots of great suggestions for preventative health care to help keep my pup healthy and she’s had minimal problems.
We discovered this vet when we moved to BC last summer. What a find! They helped us through the end of our dogs life, and all that entails. Now we have a new pup and I could not imagine taking them anywhere else! The staff are kind and thoughtful. The vets are very knowledgeable yet also reasonable - they will not try to up-sell you at all! I really appreciated that. In my grief over losing my dog, I would have done anything but the vet was not recommending anything excessive.
I have been taking my jack mix Maggie to Poco Animal hospital for 15 years. They have helped keep her healthy and fit and hopefully will continue treating her for another 15 years. (I wish). When I first moved to the tri cites area I tried almost every vet clinic and was not satisfied until I found Poco Animal Hospital. I have recommended them to countless pet owners since.
Will never go there again...heartless people! I brought my cat to put him down as he was finally succumbing to his illness and was suffering immensely and they refused to take him since I did not have an appointment...and that was after I have been bringing my poor cat to their hospital for treatment for almost a year! It broke my heart to pieces
I have been going to this vet clinic since 1979 when I got our first dog and 4 dogs later I'm still going to this fabulous vet. I do so miss Dr. Higgins but the staff has always been A+. Having 2 dogs put down was very tramatic but they made it as painless as possible and for that I was very greatful. My current dogs are 9 & 10 years old and very much a part of my family and that is just how they are treating when I take them for checkups. Keep up the good work for yet another 30+ years.
The staff at this clinic were warm and kind to my dog and my family during his life and at the end of his life. They made one of the hardest moments of my life more bearable. They are now taking care of my new puppy with equal care and honest delight at each of our visits. I don't know what I would have done without them.
