Sorrento Barbers is, at its essence, four Italian barbers providing the luxurious and quality grooming experiences that their homeland is famous for. One of Sorrento’s barbers has been cutting hair since the 1940s, and the entire shop benefits from his experience and knowledge. This is the barbershop for people who want the truly old-school experience from experts who are still at the top of their game.
These seriously hip barbers are taking over the city with locations in Cambie Village, Yaletown, Mount Pleasant, Gastown and downtown. Part modern men’s salon, part social club, Barber & Co. is collaboration between Martin Rivard and Ian Daburn (both third-generation barbers) and the Donnelly Group. Each of the handsome barbershops has its own unique aesthetic, but all offer a cool, masculine vibe, fun toys (think pool tables, dartboards, pinball machines) and vintage barber chairs from Belmont and Koken. A classic straight razor shave ($35) includes hot towels and essential oils while the deluxe option ($45) features an additional relaxing massage.
