The atmosphere is so noisy and smelly that we feel like we are in fish market!!!! And to add more to it they have TV with Hindi songs with poor sound quality. All the veg items taste same and roti like a rubber. None of the items were warm, forget getting them hot. Very disappointing and will never visit again.
I went with friends and found it to be a good restaurant and buffet. I live close to Little India in the Gerrard and Coxwell area of Toronto and was quite impressed with the quality of the dishes and the price. $55 dollars for four adults is very reasonable.
I go to Brar's all the time. The food is delicious and its one of our favourite places to eat. The new location is a definite must see.
nice food will come again......i read some more reviews .........if u are new to Indian food, please don't criticize the food but create habit to enjoy it rather criticizing it ..........please respect the food and culture of other country..
Have you seen a Vegetarians Paradise? Well, here is your moment of Zen! After reading the ton of other reviews about rude waiters and average food, I didn't have much expectations of Brars when I went there. I still went there since I've heard so much about it. The place is definitely an A++ in my list of restuarants. I'm extremely picky and if you can pay $10 at Red Robins for burgers/fries, you wouldn't mind paying the same amount for an awesome feast of 100 dishes from Chaat, Indo-Chinese, Soups, Salads, 20 desserts, 10 ice creams etc. Agreed, their service is not the friendliest, but the food and the variety is to die for. I had to wait 20mins for my lunch and the waiting area is pretty small. They're doing their best to accommodate irate desis waiting for food. For the guys who said 'Worst food ever tasted', I'd say they don't know Jack. Agreed some of the sauces were the same, but when you have 16 entrees to choose from, some sauces have to be the same. All I can say is being from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I don't mind driving to Toronto just for a meal at Brar's again. They're coming with a Breakfast buffet soon, can't wait to try it out....

Aptly named, Brars’ Grand Buffet is open for lunch (11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and dinner (5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.). Authentically Indian, the buffet is entirely vegetarian, consisting of dishes like paneer, samosas, aloo gobi and vegetable biryani. The restaurant first opened in 1986 and now has two locations, one in Etobicoke and one in Brampton, as well as their own line of Indian products sold at Wal Mart and Loblaws.
