Worst food ever. Chicken came pink. Steak tacos ordered well done came pink. Pizza was mushy. Save your $ and go elsewhere.
I do not recommend coming to this "fine dinning" restaurant. We went for breakfast as the wedding we are attending gave us free vouchers. I'm very glad we didn't have to pay as the service was horrible. We never got welcomed so we sat ourselves. The whole 30 mins we ate not once did we get offered coffee, tea or even acknowledged. We didn't know how the bill would come, so we just left our vouchers on the table and left. So unimpressed
We just had a wonderful meal at the Bruce. Our waitress was fantastic and the food done to perfection. It was a nice quiet place for a Friday wind down meal.

A group of us from work went there last night for drinks and decided to stay for dinner. We had been there several times before so we felt this was a "safe bet". However we were horrified by how much the food quality has diminished since the last time we had been. I ordered a Caesar salad as a starter and it was as bland as anything I could get at Sobey's or Zehrs. I then had the Paella and it was the worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. The rice was overcooked, the meat (chicken, shrimp and sausage) was over done to the point of being about as good as rubber and the dish had absolutely no flavour at all. I must say that almost everyone with us had similarly disappointing meals and none of us will ever return. Sorry, Bruce...I really wish the experience had been more pleasant however it was not to be.
The Bruce was totally unexpected. We found out about it because we get our meat at Well Fed Foods and so does the Bruce ( Drug fee meat is always a good sign!) The atmosphere was excellent-there was even a great little trio there that night. Great wine list. Both of out meals exceeded our expectations. We will be going back again and again!
The Bruce is honestly a hidden gem in Cambridge. Their food is fresh, delicious and different. It is in the Future Inns Hotel, just off Hespeler Road, across from a strip mall of run-of-the-mill franchise restuarants. The service was promt and proffessional, but not over-bearing. We were told that the chef has cooked for royalty in England!! And it shows...
