I have no idea why this restaurant is in the Mexican category. I am pretty sure that the owner is from Chile and what he cooks is not Mexican food.
On the date above we went to his new location on MacDonnell St in Guelph for the Grand Opening party. It was a great time but what upset some of us was that the owner came around with a big bowl collecting money at the end of the night for the band! We had already paid a $10 cover charge (which I thought was for the entertainment) and the band we wanted to see wasn't even there due to a Canada Customs problem. So they got some other band to play instead and then at the end of the night another band came in and someone said the money collected was for this late addition band. I know the donations were voluntary but it felt really awkward.
Plus they ran out of draught beer early in the night but they still have some things to work out since it is new.
We enjoy going to this restaurant for take and out the food has always been very good. The last 2 times that I have been the service was terrible and the staff were rude. The prices seem to have increased as well - I won't be going back again!

By far the best Salsa I have ever had. Great Hot food aswell. Very Fast Food and they're open late. I would recomend Salsateria to anyone. Everyone has to try this place.

This place has such yummy food that I had to hire them for catering this year, which was delicious. And they also threw in a DJ who knows the freshest perreo! The salsa, coriander salsa, and pimiento dip are tasty, and they brew real coffee with a strong sensual aroma. Also a good place to find ripe avocados, unlike those green hard rocks at the grocery store. Check out vegan and vegetarian twists on mexican favourites like burritos, tasty jerk chicken, and rice cooked properly. delicioso! And did I mention friendly service?
