    Best Italian Restaurant in Town

This Italian restaurant located in Downtown St. Catharine's is THE place to visit. The atmosphere of the historic building is great. Not only do they have a dinning room but also a great martini lounge with the most comfortable seats. Everyone who works there is so nice and love talking to the customers. The waitress that we had brought our food in a timely manner and made sure that we were okay and asked how everything was. The food was amazing and the overall experience was great. I will definitely be coming back .

    Reused food!

We got there and had a cold seat. There was no heat in the place. Water was dripping from the roof through the tvs. The servers just stayed up top and talked the whole time, then finally came to get drink orders. After we ordered, the food came back cold and wet. There was a lake of water in my pasta. And the chicken parm was way over cooked. When we brought this up, they took it back and it had come back with liquid all over the plate, as if they just took a rag or napkin and sopped it up. Didn't even bother to try and hide this fact. I didn't even eat it. When the owner (Heathrer) took the plates away I over heard her say just to put it aside and use it again. Wonder how many people got reused food. Sickens me so much. Then the bill came, and was way over priced, 5 dollar charge for a side salad that was so small, and I think the dressing went bad on the ceaser. Plus other hidden charges. Payed about 35 dollars each. Way to much!! If you want a chance to eat off someone elses plate and pay way to much for it then Dom's is the place for you!! Wouldn't even suggest this place to an enemy.

    Disgusted

It was girls night out and we are all from the food and/or wine industry in Niagara. We thought we'd support a local restaurant and sit on a nice big patio with some wine and appetizers. We ordered the antipasto platter. Haha what a joke! It was orange and white processed squares of cheese cut into triangles, the meat was cheap packaged garbage and there was a small bowl in the centre of this mess filled with canned roasted red peppers. We each had a nibble and then left it. It was the most disgusting antipasto any of us have ever had and equally disappointing for all of us from the industry! With that said, we decided to give Dom's some more business and go inside to play music trivia. Our husbands joined us later in the evening and we had a great time. Again let me mention we are all from the restaurant or wine industry. We ordered many bottles of wine and were told that they were out of the one in particular so they suggested something similar. Being from a winery, I knew we were given the cheaper wine from the wine list and when our $300.00 (!!!) bill came aorund we noticed how we were still being charged for the more expensive wine. We disputed it and the owner would not budge and was incredibly rude as well as lying through her teeth about the prices and the quality of the wine. What a huge disappointment and a HUGE waste of hundreds of dollars. My final words to the owners of Dom's are simply this, if ever we have been taught anything in the service industry, it is quality customer service and that is one thing the owner needs to learn herself. Word of mouth is the best (and most economical) way of advertising and it seems that bad word of mouth spreads throughout the 'grapevine' like wild fire. It is spreading.

    Best Italian In Town

Dom's Pasta and Grill is by far the best Italian food in town--perhaps ever. After dining here for the past 6 years, I find it hard to order pasta from any other restaurant. Monday and Tuesday night's pasta bar is a deal that can't be beat. $9.99 for All-you-can-eat pasta. And not just a cheap buffet-- cooked to order right in front of you with a number of ingredients to choose from--including chicken, sausage and seafood. There is also a salad bar that accompanies the pasta. What a great deal! Dom's "Mama Vita Gnocci" is my favorite menu item. Hands down the best gnocci I've ever tasted. Served in a rose sauce with portabello mushrooms... mmm. Try adding chicken. Also, i have to mention Dom's lunch deal that can't be beat-- $7.99 for a bowl of penne pasta and meatballs smoothered in Dom's homemade pasta sauce. And the portions are huge--worth every penny. I never leave without taking home a jar or two. Like I said-- best Italian in town, and the owner is the sweetest lady.
