My boyfriend had planned a surprise birthday party at Kamasutra. I showed up at the restaurant thinking I was in for a quiet dinner with him, but he had my friends & family waiting at the restaurant without my knowing. Service & the food was fantastic. This was my first visit & my boyfriend's second visit. He had a business dinner at Kamasutra with some associates and loved it. Now we will be visiting Kamasutra frequently.
The food was really good. The server was very professional & informative. Great atmosphere.
over spiced foods and sub par service made this an evening hard to forget, for all the wrong reasons.
We've been there twice now, and loved it both times. Our server the first time was wonderful - excellent recommendations, very friendly without being intrusive. The second time, I think the server was new, as she seemed less sure of herself and didn't know the dishes as well, but she was still friendly, attentive and competent. The food itself was great - delicious and served in a timely manner. Ambiance is welcoming, despite the high industrial ceilings (draped with fabric) and feels a little luxurious without being snooty or pretentious. I'll definitely go back.
First time at this restaurant and we were NOT disappointed. Recommended by friends, so we gave it a try. They had arranged a Special Menu for Valentines Day that evening. My wife was very excited. Was reasonably priced $75/couple for a three course meal including live music, It was only for the special occasion. Lovely atmosphere, romantic candle lit. Service was friendly & attentive. The food was very good. We really enjoyed our evening.
Service is bad.. The food was not prepared in a timely fashion and after complaint, it was not delivery in a timely fashion.
The food was absolutely delicious!Service very attentive and flawless.Ambience was exotic!Much better than any Indian restaurant i've ever eaten at before.
Kamasutra's got the best butter chicken in the city. Loved the presentation and the swift service. Would visit again.
Our friends recommended this place and we were really excited to dine here. Very glad we did. Very immpressive wine & cocktail list. The server was extremely knowledgeable even though she was not indian. Her recommendations were excellent. The flavours hit the right spot..Authentic Indian cuisine even though the spice level is a little on the mild side, which was great because we can't tolorate to much spice. Many Indian restaurants tend to be to spicy for us to eat. Presentation was fantastic. Atmosphere was upscale, it was jam packed on Friday but service was flawless. Make reservations, luckily we did. I've already made reservations for my wife's birthday in two weeks. Can't wait.
The food was quite impressive - the Masala was just spicy enough. Service was very good and attentive. Would definitely go again.
The lamb tikka was very tough and took more than 20 mins. to arrive, kinda late for an app. Chicken jalfressi had cream in it which it is not supposed to. Eggplant bharta tasted waxy and was inedible. The cuisine was not authentic indian at all, the food has been catered to the predominantly white neighborhood and was very bland to say the least. They also had all the windows open in the middle of summer and it was really hot inside. I dont know how you call this a fine dinning restaurant when you are sitting inside sweating and the flies are buzzing around. The food presentation was awfull, the naan came in a basket which was filthy and had a dirty napkin, all the dishes were served with a spoon stuck in them (hopefully they were clean) and the lamb tikka came on a plate with a chipped corner. The service on the other hand was pretty good.
This is a nice romantic place for decent Indian food. It is on Bayview so it is a bit expensive, and you are mostly paying for ambiance and service (there are much cheaper places to get better Indian in the city) but it is a nice dinner restaurant. They have an infront patio as well in the summer which is nice. The plates are a little big and upscale for the dishes, which plate the Jasmine rices in a much more pretentious way than necessary (there is nothing unique about their rices - throw some saffron in already) but the portions are acceptable and the curries are decent. If you are in the neighborhood it is the only real option, and it is definitely a nice date location.
Absolutely, one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in Ontario. The sophisticated decor, friendly and knowledgeable service and quality food are unparalleled. I have returned to the restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The piping hot naan is my favourite!
Loved it. It is fast becoming my favorite Indian restaurant. Nice vibe inside- Service attentive. They are busy and the place is really humming alone. Food is fantastic.Chicken biryani, perhaps, as good as any in the City and the lamb as well. Good experience. Been there 4 x.
From the ambience to service to a feast fit for a king. Kamasutra would be one of the best Indian Fine Dinng resto I would recommend and have done to many family & friends.
