Asbestos Assessment
According to the Ontario Regulation 278/05, it states that any owner, or contractor, engaging in repair, renovations, demolition, or disturbance of building materials contained in a building that was built prior to 1986 should confirm the presence of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s). If the subject building is confirmed to contain ACM’s, then a proper removal under the same regulation is necessary to comply with the law. Non-compliance can lead to a larger magnitude consequence and may result in facing charges and large fines.
Mold Inspection
No one ever wants to find mold in their homes, or place of work. That is why if and when you find or suspect mold that you call us immediately to ensure your safety. As mold begins to mature, they produce toxins that can cause serious health risks in both humans and animals.
After taking swabs of the mold material, as well as indoor air samples, we send the samples off to the lab where they can be analyzed by a certified technician. Once the samples have been analyzed you will receive a detailed report of the findings and then we will recommend the appropriate company to perform the abatement.
Designated Substance Survey
Designated Substance Survey (DSS) reports are required before any construction, demolition or restoration project can take place in Ontario. As per Section 30 of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act, Designated Substances and other potentially hazardous building materials must be identified prior to any work being done that may disturb these materials and result in unnecessary exposure of workers and building occupants.
