For the third year in a row the well-loved YUL EAT Festival will be held at the Quai de l’Horloge in Montreal's Old Port from September 3 to 5. On the menu: special guest speakers, gourmet dinners and brunches, cooking classes and a whole host of activities. All your senses will thank you for being there! Trilogie

Also for brunch on September 3, chef Anita Feng from Trilogy Restaurant on Saint-Laurent Boulevard will be offering shrimp and jicama with black vinegar kewpie and Sichuan pepper.

Restaurant Candide

Chef John Russell Winter of the new Candide in Little Burgundy is once again paying tribute to local produce with a charred broccoli, arugula and sunflower oil pesto, grated le gré des champs, grilled guinea hen and herbs, all during the Locavore Dinner on September 3.

Meanwhile, at the same dinner, the highly regarded Martin Juneau, of Pastaga fame, will be opting for a braised piglet loin from St. Canute, girolles vélouté, charred onion juice and Louis-Albert potatoes.

To round it all off, don’t miss the brunch on September 5, prepared by several chefs including William Daly of Soubois. He’ll be offering his yogurt with confit peaches, almond candy, angelic and granola, as well as a Norwegian omelette (pear, tonka beans and white chocolate) with homemade Nutella and marmalade.
