We offer extended hours that are usually not found at other competitors. The owner of HFX Tire & Oil, Shawn MacEachern, has over 25 years of experience in the industry, as well as a vast knowledge of management and interpersonal skills. He was essential to the establishment of another tire service in the Halifaxmetro area during 2014-2015, having set up the operation (equipment and shop layout), built customer relations, and trained 3 new recruits, providing instruction on the elements involved in providing exceptional customer service. HFX Tire & Oil will repair, install, and sell tires for all makes and models of passenger vehicle including light trucks. Installation and balancing is $10 per tire up to 17 inch. $15 for 18 inch and up. Winterquest, Uniroyal, BF Goodrich, General, Michelin, Bridgestone, and more! We also perform oil changes, and have 0w20 synthetic, 5w20 and 5w30 in stock. If your ride has special needs, let us know, and we will accommodate. With each new tire, the rim is cleaned (to remove rust and corrosion) and sealer is applied (to ensure air will not leak and water will not enter). The old valve stem is replaced. The tire is inflated and balanced using state of the art equipment. With every oil change, the oil is drained, and the old oil filter removed. A new filter is installed. The proper grade of oil is selected (or we can use your own oil if you wish) and the crankcase is filled. Call ahead to order special grades.
