my father died in April I called on the phone& closed the account and sent the death certificate by mail directly tohead office over the last few months 7 months after he died Ive over the last few months 7 months after he died Ive been getting mail for him from Scotiabank the last letter was a credit of $87 because we overpaid the account so I call on the phone and they say theyve got all the information online so wont issue the check for the estate but they give me p paper with personal info
We finally had to send a fax in order to try to schedule an appointment at our local branch due to the impenetrable and complex phone system. It is a sad reflection when a customer cannot make a simple phone call to schedule an appointment at the branch level.
