Burger was raw in the middle and bun soggy. Waited 15 minutes to get served in a non-busy restaurant. Waitress just ignored us while she cleared tables. Would not go back - even though the view is spectacular.
Beautiful location... too bad the service is poor and the food is not very tasty. Would be a great place to have a few pints and watch the game (when hockey comes back...grumble) except that even getting drinks becomes a hassle after the first.
The atmoshere under the waterfalls nice . The fodd arrived and it was over cooked, tasteless to the point of spitting out. Had lamb shank that had a bad taste as marinaded in some unkown substance. When I had to use the bathroom I was shocked. Filth like it hadn't been cleaned for years. The mirrow a blind mess, the floor filthy, the trash overflowing. This on a Saturday at 5 pm. One can only guess what the kitchen looks like. .
The upstairs patio was falling apart and could not be used.
I wil never eat again. Maybe have a cup of coffee on the patio.
We visited Barley Mow in the winter at lunch time. I've never seen a restaurant that dirty that early in the day.
We decided to play it safe and ordered what we thought couldn't be messed up. WRONG!!! Nachos were unedible - old and stale - very little cheese and no salsa. The wings were par-cooked the week before. They had a bad taste that even the sauce couldn't disguise. But that fails to compare at how dirty the building was. WE felt uncomfortable in the seats and felt dirty. Dust, gravel and dirt everywhere, not just one days' worth. It was in the light fixtures, window sills - everywhere.
They should remain it Filthy McNasty because it was filthy and the food was nasty.
We would not recommend anyone going for anything besides bottled beer. No Glass!!!
