I love love love that we have an authentic Thai restaurant in Bracebridge. I ordered the Chicken Coconut Curry Soup with Lemongrass and it was the best soup I have ever tasted. The new owner, Jack is very pleasant the food is very good!! More people need to go here for great healthy food that is tasty and authentic

Loved it! Great food and friendly staff!

We showed up after 9 on a Saturday and even though the sign outside said they closed at 9 the staff greeted us friendly as we came in and asked if they were indeed still open and without hesitation we were told to pick a table. Very nice as we were expecting to have to go somewhere else but wanted to ask to make sure! We ordered the vegetarian pad thai and the tofu with mixed veggies and both orders were generous and both were very very tasty! The food was quick and so was the service, but neither felt rushed! And our waiter took the time to talk to us and made us feel welcome, even though he likely was looking forward to going home! We'd go back in a heartbeat and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great Thia meal.

Great Thai Cuisine

After reading the mixed reviews of Bo's, we had some hesitation but decided to give it a try. We're so glad we did. It was a rainy Wednesday evening, about 6:30, but Bo's had patrons at several tables. We were introduced to the menu by Mark, husband of Bo, who was most helpful and attentive throughout the meal. We had the Crispy Shrimp Roll as an appetizer. It was cooked to perfection and nicely presented. My wife had the Tiger Prawns and I had the Scallops cooked in their shell. Both came cooked in tantalizing sauces that enticed us to eat more rice than we normally eat. We're definitely returning, and plan to tell our friends about this great Thai restaurant.

No food Just water

Thought we would give it a try since it is fairly new. Went on a Sat. evening. We were pointed to the dining room and told to find a seat. Eventually waitperson came with menus. We ordered and were given a glass of water. Waited. waited waited; Very little food seemed to be coming from the kitchen. After sitting for an hour we asked if our order was even being prepared, to be told it hadn't been started yet!! Had we been told beforehand it would have taken that long we wouldn't have bothered. This place has no clue! and we won't be trying it again.

WORST Thai Food I have ever eaten!

With the exception of travelling to Thailand itself, I have eaten a fair bit of Thai food. We are new to the area and I was thrilled to see a Thai establishment. We went for lunch and what a disappointment - let alone a total waste of $55 - for lunch!!!! The first disappointment is that they claimed to have a lunch menu but don't. Usually thai restaurants offer a lunch menu that includes daily soup and a roll with a smaller sampling of entrees at a reduced price. Apparently they were offering a daily special of basil beef that we noticed on a sign on the way out. Our waiter never mentioned any special to us. The decor is dark and depressing, and I am always grossed out by restaurants with carpet on the floor. Why local health units don't ban carpet in restaurants is a mystery to me! The establishment wasn't clean and was very uninviting. The fact that there was only 1 other table being served should have been an indicator of our dining experience! The next disappointment was that Bo's doesn't have fresh rolls on the menu - one of my favourites. So my husband ordered the "shrimp spring rolls" which from the description were spring rolls with shrimp in them. Apparently they were referring to a whole shrimp wrapped in a wonton paper deep fried - at $8 for 5 rolls - again, another disappointment. We ordered the chicken fingers for our daughter because the only other option for kids was rice or the adult menu, which wasn't cheap. I think anything over $5 for a child is unreasonable unless its a nutritious meal. So the $7 for a bit of deep fried chicken was ridiculous, let alone the long black hairs that I found in it when we took the leftovers home! GROSS. My salad was the biggest joke of the meal. ANY Thai salad I have ever eaten, unless specified, is a meal in itself. And it either has noodles or so many julienned vegetables that it is quite satisfying. I am not exaggerating when I share that my salad arrived in a tiny bowl, with 4 half slices of cucumber, 5 shrimps (which were fresh, and cooked perfectly), some green onion, fresh mint and red onion. The price? $10.95 - totally outrageous! For an extra $2 I could have had a dish of pad thai! My husband joked what was I going to order for my second lunch! My husband had a spicy noodle with chicken which didn't look remotely or taste like a thai dish to me. The noodles looked like no yolks and I have never seen a fat noodle of that variety served in a thai restaurant. He remarked he had had better. We paid $4 for two glasses of diet coke - joke - I had water and with a glass of milk for our daughter the bill came to $50. We reluctantly left a $5 tip. I would never go back nor would I recommend Bo's to anyone. The whole time I kept thinking what Gordon Ramsay would do if he got his hands on the place!!!

great potential

I went for lunch last week and had a decent experience. The owner, Bo greeted us and was very friendly and helpful. I was not too crazy about the decor. The red-painted walls distracted from the otherwise calm atmosphere. I found the sauces that were prepared by Bo herself were excellent. I have travelled through Thailand extensively and recognize authentic Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, the actual food order was prepared by someone else. The beef was tough and overcooked. The chicken was crumbly and overcooked. It's a shame that these authentic and tasty dishes were not prepared properly. I couldn't tell whether the meat was inferior quality or had been sitting around for a few hours. I hope that Bo recognizes the changes that need to be made in order for this restaurant to be successful. I might try it again, but if the results are the same, I wouldn't return again.

I visited Bo's for lunch last week and had to bring my wife back for dinner. My wife has travelled to Thailand so she is very picky about where she eats her Thai food. Luckily for me, we both absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. If you are looking for authentic Thai food that doesn't empty your wallet, this is the place for you. The food was perfect and the service was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. I will be back very soon and really hope they expand to Huntsville so it will be closer.

Bo's compares favourably to many of the Thai restaurants I have been to across Canada. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. Cost was close to $30 per person, with drinks. Servings were large enough to share and each came with plenty of steamed rice. I was impressed with the freshness of ingredients for January in northern Ontario. Thank goodness it opened up in Bracebridge!

Wednesday night early dinner, a few other tables there. We had a full meal from drinks, apps and desserts. The wine list featured wines not commonly available in the LCBO, including a few favourites. We started by ordering the papaya salad, and were offered an off menu item: mango salad. Delicious! We shared a couple of mains, my favourite was the BBQ pork. Everything was fresh, flavourful, nicely spiced and beautifully presented. For dessert I chose the sticky rice and coconut custard. Can't wait to go back!

OMG...the worst Thai restaurant ever and I have visited many. The food was terrible, I would not recommend visiting this restaurant unless they substantially improve.
