It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that I wish to convey a few words. Our municipality of Alfred and Plantagenet grows constantly. We maintain the cap on the improvement of our municipal services and our economic development. A constant emphasis on good municipal planning will allow for present and future challenges to be met. Our seven communities are surrounded by agricultural sectors; therefore, good harmony must be maintained between the urban, agricultural and forestry areas which surround us.Our libraries, community and recreational centers, marinas, attractive and modern amusement parks for recreational and cultural services to both young and old are part of our daily concerns. Safe roads and houses are always a municipal concern. Our public works and fire departments are equipped with appropriate equipment in order to maintain the residents' and visitors' safety. Environmental issues are key elements in Council's decisions.
