    My immigrant frie...

    My immigrant friend went to this "school". She had a "teacher" named "Nancy" who taught her erroneous pronunciation of Canadian English (my guess is that it is American slang) e.g., the word “twenty” is pronounced “twenny”, and numerous other pronunciation abominations in which letters are ignored or distorted. I spoke with my University English Prof, and he was appalled and stated: "that pronunciation is not substantiated by any of the major dictionaries".
