You cannot beat the service at Naxos.
The staff is always friendly, and Penny (The Owner) visits all her customers when she is in too see how things are going. She also makes sure to meet anyone from out of town. Her Patio is now open and it is nice to sit out there at night and have a beer.
The food is flavourful and the decor is warm.
I feel like family when I visit, and I try to make it there 2 - 4 times a week. I have been there almost ever week since it has opened, except for the times I have been out of town or very busy.
They also have brought in specific beers just for me in the past since I went there so offten.
They relly go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and happy.
Also during the winter months they have an excellent Jazz Trio with Mark Potvin on Thursday nights, and they have Dancing classes on Wednsday nights.
It also is not uncomon for the staff to give the occasional dance to greek music or the traditional greek plate breaking.
Also one of the most awesome dishes is the Saganaki.
This chesse dish is a great tasting flambe.

Wow. I know that I have a habit of popping into random establishments and being surprised, but this was ridiculous.
The food was decent actually. After all, so many places screw up lamb, but the price was outrageous for the amount of food you receive.
Also, playing the "Happy Birthday" track over the speakers in the restaurant FOUR TIMES in a row (literally, they had it on repeat) for FOUR DIFFERENT parties was over the top annoying.
We'll never go again.
I had the flaming cheese and the Gyro Pita, and it was my first time trying Greek food. Since I hate feta and olives, I was prepared to order something boring, like a burger. But the menu had lots of interesting selections, and the waitress was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
First of all the atmosphere in there is amazing, and the service is even better. Why can't all restaurants have staff such as Naxos'. Great job guys, your hospitality is both professional and fun. The prices are very reasonable, especially the drink list. Common Thunder Bay, stop going all to those over-rated franchises, this place has it all.
The food was amazing! Owner's mom makes the moussaka fresh and it is original not to mention mouth watering. The service was better than fantastic and the server remembered our son from the last time we had brought him there even telling him what he had ordered! The owner is so open and friendly, she doesn't hesitate to come to our table and always greets us like old friends and welcome guests. It's become my #1 favorite restaurant shoving the other long standing fav to #2 spot after 10 years.
