I've been to this restaurant many times since it's opening. I've always had a great experience , food, wait staff & atmosphere. After 9/11 it was a pain to get across the border & we went less frequently, as did others. Business really slowed down & they had to let alot of their wait staff go-too bad! I had the same waitress for a few years & we really liked her. It's still a great place for an intimate dining experience. I've tried just about everything on the menu over the years, never disappointed, you won't be either.
We started with the garlic lingine, which was prepared at our table by Pete who was also our "fantastic" waiter, our main course were the lambchops and steak piccata, both outstanding, they melt in your mouth!! We have not had such a great meal in a very long time! Can't wait to go back. Ask for "Pete" like I said he was fantastic!!
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was phenomenal. The absolute most romantic spot in the city and the best steak I've ever had in my life. The food was reasonably priced and the waitstaff was courteous and efficient. I would highly recommend The Cook Shop as the perfect date restaurant.
Excellent waitstaff (Eva is my favourite). She is very professional yet treats you like family. The salad as well as the main entree's are excellent. Nice touch having the pasta's made right at your table. It really is Windsor's best kept secret. See you soon Eva........
Everything was great! Real ITALIAN cuisine at it's finest. Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a romantic evening with loved ones. The food was perfect and the service was outstanding.
