Dropped in for lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised to find this calibre of Japanese food in Peterborough. Excellent food. Very authentic. So much so it helps to be familiar with Japanese food before ordering (staff speak very little English). Fixed price for as much as you want on the menu. However a note on menu says you will be charged for what you don't eat. I thought that was an inspired way to prevent the waste usually associated with all you can eat restaurants. A little pricy but you certainly get your money's worth. Looking forward to a return visit for dinner. Read more

My family and friends have been coming here for upwards of 10 years. Since we have been coming, they have had the same 2 chefs, same owners, and same front house staff, we always know that our experience will be fantastic. They are always willing to accommodate (and remember ) my families various likes and dislikes, seating us at our favorite table, and make us feel like we are truly welcome. Me and my husband comes here about once a month and it's fantastic, except simetimes when he gets the full rack of ribs one of them isn't the greatest. And honestly it's the best meal for your buck. I love going to the Old Bridge Inn(OBI) all summer long. I love the way its a little tucked away restaurant where you can enjoy the view and breeze from the patio, take a walk after dinner to the locks, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with amazing food. As an appetizer, I usually have one of the salads cause the dressings are soo good. Not to sweet, not to thick, just right and the greens are never swimming in dressing either, which is something that I prefer over soggy salad. Most recently, I had the broiled trout on quinoa. Oh my god! So light, and fresh. This chef really knows how to cook fish. It was nice and moist, evenly cooked with a fresh fruit salsa on top. I loved it. I think that the trout was actually local, and the server said that it was caught just the day before. So Fresh!!! And it was accompanied with quinoa, which is a nice alternative to the plain, standard rice you get with rice in so many other restaurants. And of course, the signature vegetables! I don't know any other restaurant that gives you so many vegetables, all with individual flavours and spices. On top of it all, they carry some of Ontario's best V.Q.A. wines, as well as a variety of international vintages. I enjoyed some of the Inniskillen Pinot Grigio, and it went so well with the fish. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to get out of the city and have a great, relaxed dining experience. Read more
