I hired Men With Knives for my Muskoka wedding this past summer. They went above and beyond expectations and blew everyone away with their impeccable service, delicious food and efficiency. They even slipped my favorite dish into the menu and had a special plate for me as the bride - it is these little special touches that make the difference. We had a reservation, and although they had a party going on in the private room the service was fine. They warned us they were really busy but I didn't find it slow. They had a great variety of stuff for the kids, but also for those of us who tend to stay away from carbs.
I had the liver with extra veggies instead of potato and it was really good....it was two large pieces and I took one home. The kids loved the fish and chips and pasta, and my husband had a pasta as well, which he really enjoyed.
This would be a great place to go after a day of skiing when you are REALLY hungry as the portions are very generous!

Had an amazing meal with my boyfriend at Duncan's last week! Normally don't have overly noteworthy service, but the young gentleman serving us that day was quick, entertaining and extremely sweet. We'll definitely be back in hopes of having him as our server again!! We come there for lunch often because the food is of the best in Collingwood! Definitely a gem if you're looking for great soups and sandwiches.

I've eaten here many times since moving to the area and have introduced several friends to it now too.
It's a small little place with a hockey theme. The booths are kind of small and can be a little claustrophobic, but there are tables out in the open area as well.
The food is usually really good. I recommend their nachos. These are not your usual nachos, but are made with cross-cut potatoes with your nacho fixings on top (beef, jalapenos, cheese, olives, peppers). If you're not a big eater, just have this appetizer and you'll be full.
The salads are fresh and there are usually some creative things on the specials board. Soups are good and homemade.
And if you're a hockey fan, you might run into a few of the Owen Sound Attack on occasion too.
