Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery offers personalized funeral & cemetery services all at one location. Our historic funeral home offers a chapel that seats 175 guests, and a reception hall that can accommodate an additional 140. There are also private family rooms, two visitation rooms, and an outdoor patio. Our newest funeral home seats up to 240 people in the chapel, and our reception hall can accommodate up to 300 guests. This is the largest reception room within the city of Calgary and offers peaceful views of the cemetery grounds. We also have an outdoor patio, family rooms, and a visitation room. We are wheelchair accessible and offers ample parking on-site. Our facilities are equipped with a state-of-the-art audiovisual system. Our cemetery grounds is graced with natural landscape, Italian marble statuary and two sparkling ponds offering the ideal setting to honour loved ones. Today I took my Mom to Mountain View Cemetery to put flowers on her husband Bills gravesite. It was snowing, cold and terrible windy. It was important that she went today as 1 year ago today, on her birthday he passed away suddenly. Today she turned 80 years old and for closure purposes I felt it was important to take her to fulfill her request. Thankfully for two very nice employees, George and Steve the Maintenance Man, Mom was given a ride to the site. She called them angels!
