Poor customer service because the security is so RUDE and uneducated. I am just dancing and near our seat beacuse the dance floor is full all night but the security told me I have to get off. I'm not even causing trouble I am just dancing beside my wife. I just want to enjoy and I love dancing. I will not recommend edge to anyone. When the security told me to get off, I just say ok I did not argue at all.
My experience dining at the Edge was consistent with other reviews read. The seating to dine is atrocious, very uncomfortable. The tables and sofas are meant to be a lounge feel but it doesn't work well when eat your dinner.Table is too short, sofas awkwardly placed....horrible,but maybe the challenge would be to your liking. The service was poor.I went there on a date and though only a handful of people were in there on that friday night, most of them playing pool( with the weirdest rates I have ever heard: paying by the minute!! lol). On that night we felt liked steaks, having read good things from previous reviews. We were served in dimly lit conditions, they turned down the lights quarter way through our dining and placed candles on every table (all empty) except the one we were eating on....that candle would've surely helped too.So picture in your mind ,dim lights, uncomfortable seating, poor service and then feast your eyes on a huge plate of THICK JUICY steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Then take a bite and savor the taste of a well seasoned piece of meat, taste steaming mashed potatoes in portions that challenge the capacity of your stomach to digest it.It was delicious!! I felt my dismay at lighting, comfort and poor service melt away. You would've heard me say that quarter way through they lowered the lights and didn't provide us with a candle,we could've said something but we were enjoying the food too much. After our meal we quickly left, beyond food I would hate to hang out there. So.....in short: Get the steak!!! Don't expect anything else to be great. They need to match the quality of their food with the dining experience that unfortunately accompanies it.
Great wings, the sitting not so good..!!!for an average midlleaged person like me with a bid of a middle problem (YEAH..I KNOW I SHOULDN'T EAT WINGS!!) the couches are not the most cofortable sitting...and it is a beer bar... no clue how to serve a brandy or a cognac...(thats why the low service mark)
When you think of an all you can eat steak dinner, you think its the cheapest steak on the market. Yet I was suprised that it was quite tender, well seasoned, and properly cooked (med-rare). Comes with potatoes and veg, but those sides don't come after your third round, I really didnt mind that. The service is hit or miss there, some of the girls are great some show up once an hour and maybe ask you if you want something. Its really annoying especially when you are waiting for your next steak. The music is way to loud or when they play the hockey game. Its just blaring that you are yelling at each other. I play in the CPA league and its really hard to shoot when all you can think of is "Pour some sugar on me!" in your mind.
I play pool with the CPA league and the Edge is my home bar. That being said you think they would treat a team that they sponsor with good service. This is definitely not the case. I’ve worked for many years in the bar/service industry and I can’t recall such CONSISTENTLY poor service in all my life. The last time I was at the Edge I decided not to chase after the servers for a beer or for food service, I was tired of having to do so all the time and decided to see how long it would take. The result was that I waited 4 hours in total and not once did a server ask if I would like something, a drink, a menu or if everything was okay… the standard stuff, not rocket science... From the time I got there to the time I left - not once did I get any service from the staff and I'm a regular who is on a team that is based out of there... If I wanted a drink or food I would have had to chase down the staff. My old mentor and the owner of the club I used to work at once told me that good service translates into people spending money at the club. Customers shouldn’t have to chase down the staff to take their money. The Edge might as well let the customers serve themselves; it might translate into faster, friendlier and more efficient service. They might even see their bottom line increase because more money is making it into the cash register... If I wasn’t bound to play there because of the pool league I would go somewhere else - definitely. Too bad because it is a nice space, the food is excellent but the service is so deplorable that I’d rather spend my money where it is appreciated.
