Excellent food excellent service thank you Colton you rock!
We were on our way back to Sarnia on a Sunday evening and pulled off the 401 for a break and to have a “decent meal”, not fast food. Tony Roma’s was our choice. We’d been there before and had good memories of the ribs. Getting off the highway and up Wellington Road to the restaurant is very straightforward. We got a very nice welcome at reception and when we were shown to our seats we found the atmosphere very warm and relaxing. We ordered a Half Onion Loaf ($7.49) as an appetizer that we shared. My wife had a Full Back of ribs ($24.99) that she intended to partially eat and then carry the rest home. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich ($9.49) which was tasty. We enjoyed everything that we ordered. I had a diet cola ($2.79), my wife just ice water. Total before tip $51.70. A day later, we made most of a meal from the baked potato and the remaining ribs that we brought home. So the original bill was fairly reasonable. Without being pushed, and just taking our time, we were back on the highway after an hour. It was a good idea to stop there and a good experience that we had.
Wow - what a disappointment. Went there for dinner, spent $70 which included a drink each. The tables are scratched and worn. The menus are sticky (yuck). The food was served quickly but really had a warmed over feel to it. How is it possible to serve food quickly but the shrimp is lukewarm? . The only freshly cooked item we received were the sweet potatoe fries which I can get anywhere. A very very average meal.
My wife and I were planning to go to Richies nearby but it was too crowded. We had not been to Tony Roma's so we gave it a try. Good thing we did . It was fantastic. We have been back twice since then, always for lunch but will try dinner soon. Nice job Tony!
The place is clean and has good service. The ribs are really good!
