    S Lear's review of Phyl's Family Restaurant Funny !! I've read some ignorant reviews about Phyl's. Sorry it's not to your McDonald's standards! I ate at Phyl's yesterday afternoon. The moment I walked in the door....I was greeted and told to sit where I wanted to. Immediately I had service and drinks and my food order was taken. We ordered the fish and chips and the phylly Steak sandwich platter we got our food quickly. The food was great and the price was very reasonable. People need to understand that this isn't McDonald's, it's a Diner !! Maybe some of you are too young to understand what that is? Or too ignorant to appreciate good food. I will go to Phyl's again and will recommend it to others. Keep up the good work!!! See you soon

    I understand that...

    I understand that this establishment has only been open but a very short time. There are always some mountains to climb when opening a new establishment. However, my family and I waited 10 minutes to have a table clearned off so we could sit. Then we waited another 15 minutes to be greeted and approximately 20 minutes after we were greeted and placed our complete order our waitress came over and informed us that she forgot our drinks so one by one all 5 of us recived our drinks. Awhile later our waitress came up to our table, said nothing and walked away to return about 10 minutes later to tell us our food was almost ready. We waited and waited. I observed alot of empty and dirty tables. After an hour of walking into the restaurant our food was still not ready so I paid for our drinks and informed them we were leaving due to my mother being diabetic and needing to eat and waiting an hour is far too long. They were very rude. They charged me over 10 dollars for our drinks which totaled $9. And then when they gave me $10 change they told me since I had to wait so long I could keep the change. I was owed $11. I am very disappointed in this restaurant. To top it all off the waiteress who served us was nasty when I told her that we couldn't wait any longer. I will not be going back. I left there 20 minutes ago, I am sitting at the shack on Drummond rd. and eating my lunch. And I will continue to come to the shack for their fast service and great prices.
