Yukiguni Japanese Restaurant

We went in for lunch and I thought it was going to be good . The hamachi hand roll was good , the spider rolls were ok but small . We had 2 bowls rice each as we were still hungry, BUT on the second bowl I found a BIG BLACK HAIR! Alls the guy did was not charge us for that bowl ! When we got the bill it was 65$ . So:2 miso soup 1 spider roll 1 pork cutlet lunch special 2 coke 4 bowl rice , one with a big black hair 65$ No we won't go back .

We went to this place with our kids. The servers were friendly and attentive.The decor is simple, just like the Japanese style. We loved the foods we ordered - authentically Japanese with fresh sashimi and the salad was really good.The tempura was really crunchy and tasty.The cold tempura soba was authenically Japanese. We could have unlimited refills of miso soup and rice with sashimi dinner. Being Japanese myself, I highly recommend this restaurant. (my canadian family also loved this place,too)

I used to enjoy their sushi before, but my last visit at Yukiguni made me not want to go there again. I had Tuna Rolls and Tempura Udon and found the tuna wasn't fresh at all as its color was very dark and the texture was really bad as well. It was the first time for me to have their Udon and I got so disappointed. Udon was too salty as if the noodles sunk in the soy sauce or something. Also, the dining area wasn't really clean either. I know they have been there for a long time but that doesn't mean they don't need to clean it up.

This was an excellent traditional Japanese restaurant. The service was friendly and it was a relaxing dinner with excellent food. I would highly recommend it for travellers looking for traditional Japanese cuisine!

Went with my GF. It really was quite delightful, the food and atmosphere were very good too. :) Food was well prepared and delicious. Wait staff were attentive and very knowledgeable about the items. Large bus of Japanese tourists came in for a reserved meal - a good sign for value and authenticity of food.

Beyond incredible

I am a huge lover of Japanese food. Yukiguni's was the first place I ever tried, about 8 years ago, and I have never found a better one. Fish is always so fresh, especially the salmon and the tuna. Even the miso soup is a step above any I've tried before. Yukiguni does not try to make their sushi "fancy" by adding lots of seeds, avocado, cucumber, roe, etc. You get very basic sushi - the rolls are jam packed with the fish. The owner told me that he opened this restaurant over 20 yrs ago for the Japanese people of Niagara. Bravo!

I travel to Japan quite a bit on business and I always looks forward to coming back to Yukiguni because I honestly believe the Japanese food here is better than what I can get in Japan. The fish is always so fresh and the service is the friendliest of any restaurant I have ever been in! I highly recommend this restaurant to the other sushi lovers out there like myself! Henry, Shoji,Noriko, Ayako,Kanki, and the rest I LOVE YOU ALL! Thank you so much for your kindness and wonderful hospitality always.

Overall, we found our meal to be satisfactory (there was nothing really outstanding). The fish didn't seem as fresh as hoped and the menu was lacking in options; most of the offerings were boxed meals. There were only a handful of rolls and a la carte sushi to choose from. As I stated, it was OK, but not worthy of another visit.

The atmosphere is humble, the service is very friendly. Feels like a local family establishment. The food is a good value, and of high quality. The rolls, and soup came to about $40. The spicy tuna roll was quite spicy, but all in all the food was tasty. A great low-key restaurant that gave us a break from the overpriced/low quality tourist restaurants that pervade Niagara Falls.

It was actually a party of 14, because I invited all my friends from school and try sushi! They absolutley loved it for their 1st time!~ I was very happy and my father also was happy for bringing all my friends in!! I love going to both this one in the Falls and the one in Fort Erie!!

Best sushi anywhere that I've found in Ontario, including TO and Hamilton. Always fresh, the service is fantastic, and the sushi has not been Americanized. Best salad and miso soup around. I've been going for 7 years and have yet to be disappointed!
