We had not been to this restaurant in years, and now I can see why. What happened to the Italian flare of the waiters reading the menu and describing it to you? The food was just OK, I think I could make some of the dishes better at home. The service was terrible and like the other person said...what we can't have more bread? Sorry, but I won't be back.
Most amazing pasta ever. The caeasar dressing was the best. The chocolate mousse cake was so good, not too sweet. The service was great, not too intrusive, very friendly. I love how the kitchen is out front so you can see them cooking. The cooks all seemed to be young but were very professional. The owners answered any questions I had, and very friendly. I love the fact that their pasta is made almost every day, on site and they told me that they have one employee that makes all the pasta from scratch.
This was my first visit to Thunder Bay and this place was a little hard to find.We ordered Lamb,steak and a soup salad for my wife.Best steak I ever had.Tender and had a glaze on both sides that was unique".Lombardy" as it was called on the menu.It was $34 but the garlic mashed potatoes,asparagus tips and vegetables that came with it were all great.My son had the lamb that he sad was very good also.My wife had just a soup and salad and she was very happy with her pickYou get a good quantity also not the usual "all show, no go" at other snobby places.Nice atmosphere ,sick of the chain restaurants then go here for a good dinner!
So good, I went there after hearing reviews from my sister who raved about the pasta. No where else in Thunder Bay can you get fresh pasta, well one place but you have to order 2 days ahead of time. Waiter was friendly and outgoing and very professional.
I recommend them highly, what a gem of a restaurant in my home town.
I love how they don't give you a tonne of bread, I hate how you eat so much bread at a restaurant because it's on the table you have no room left for the actual meal you came for.
Great atmosphere, small and quaint, and they never ask you to leave at the end of the night. I couldn't believe the time, we showed up at 7:00 and didn't get out till 11:00.
I should stop I could go on all day.
