It all began with a Crown mason jar. When Davis Khounnoraj and Adam Mallory opted to start a business together, they could only hope that it would resonate with Torontonians. When the duo began hawking teeny tiny mason jar terrariums with the aesthetic whimsy of Amélie and the lines of fine sculpture, word got around quick.

Downtowners cottoned onto the idea of a pint-sized forest in a jar — a speedy and low-commitment way to breathe new life into a room. At it turns out, Crown Flora's creations were exactly what the nature-deprived condo crowd had been craving.
