When The Gingerbread House first opened, owners Kelly Hutchman and Michael Burns were not completely satisfied with the selection of jewellery on the market. Their solution? Make their own.
“At first, we were simply buying interesting and unique jewellery for our store,” explains Michael. “After a while, we realized there was a definite lack of unique pieces on the mainstream market. Because of this, I learned the art of making jewellery by hand. Combined with Kelly’s beautiful designs, we started our own line of jewellery.”
Founded in 1990, Kelly and Michael started The Gingerbread House with a goal of meeting the needs of customers that were neglected by the rest of the market. “We create jewellery for any occasion,” says Michael. “From your everyday outfits to formal dinners or work meetings, we have unique pieces for any situation.”
