At his agency located in the Grover Building, which was built in 1923, Steve Paquette speaks proudly of his career path. This curious and established designer cut his teeth working for Safarir magazine. He then managed the production of La Semaine and several publications of the Transcontinental group. Backed by this experience, in 2006 he launched Magma Design with two partners.
As CEO of Magma Design, Steve is in charge of operations and technical aspects such as design, printing and the web. His partner, Lionel Kalfa, is responsible for consulting services, strategy, business development and marketing. Although it was Steve who founded the company, he appreciated the importance of surrounding himself with good people, took nothing for granted and he wanted to know everything. "There is always room for the best, for those who grow and want to learn. It is the heart and passion of someone that will determine their success in life," he asserts.
