Our first visit here was our anniversary. The restaurant wasn't too busy so we got a table fairly quickly, without any reservations. Our meal started off with some freshly-cooked bread in clay pots. The bread gets served with three different butters, my favorite being the herbs one. ( There is also apple&cinnamon and red pepper.) For meal selection there is ample pasta and non-pasta selections; however, it's a bit skimpy on vegetarian selection. Hesitantly, I ordered their Stuffed Eggplant (I am not a big fan of eggplants). My boyfriend ordered a chicken dish I believe. The Stuffed Eggplant was scrumptious. It was half an eggplant stuffed with barley, mushrooms, peppers, onions, cheese and what not. I loved it. My boyfriend was not fond of the chicken-- it wasn't fully cooked. We complained and the manager (or the owner; it was a lady who was going around asking folks how their meal was) quickly offered to replace his meal, despite the fact that he had finished everything else on the plate but the chicken. When our bills came the restaurant didn't charge my boyfriend for either of his meals-- not the chicken entree or the large plate of pasta that it was replaced with. I have been back twice or thrice since, and each time I am impressed with their flawless service. They truly never say no to any request you have and go out of their way to make sure you have a spectacular evening.
